In this video, I go over how to solve and then graph absolute value inequalities. On the first page I just need to split the absolute value inequality into two inequalities and solve each one. Then I graph them, noting that for some questions it is graphed like an "and" compound inequality and for others an "or" inequality. I also talk about how to tell which is which. For the second page, I have to solve a little first, getting the absolute value part by itself, then proceed to solve it like I did for the first page. Lastly, I go over the answers and show two scenarios where there is no solution and where there are all real solutions, and how to spot those sorts of problems.
This video is part of a series on worksheets for Algebra 1. Many teachers like to assign Kuta worksheets, because they are easily accessible and have the answers included- so in these videos I explain not just the answers, but how to do each problem step by step, and sometimes using several different methods so you can find a way that suits how you learn.
As always, I hope this has been super helpful! Like, subscribe, etc. on YouTube, and I'll see you again real soon friend. Blessings!
